The NRW-Tarif breaks down the tariff barriers between bus and rail as well as the transport associations in NRW.

  • The tariff and transport conditions of the NRW-Tarif apply.
  • The NRW-Tarif is valid on all connections within North Rhine-Westphalia that go beyond the borders of the transport association.
  • The fare entitles the holder to use buses, trams and underground trains at the point of departure and destination.
  • Flat-rate tickets do not have a fixed start and destination. With relation price tickets, the starting point and destination are specified at the time of purchase.
  • All NRW-Tarif tickets are recognised on our trains.
  • A maximum of €49 per month is charged for eezy, the digital kilometre-based regional fare; further information can be found at eezy.nrw/de/
  • On the trains, there are all kinds of flat-rate tickets(SchönerTagTicket, SchönerTagTicket Single, SchöneFahrtTicket, FahrradTicket NRW, SchöneFerienTicket) as well as the SchöneReiseTicket to all destinations in NRW and to Osnabrück.
